Trust is key in any therapeutic relationship. All content shared with your therapist will be held in strictest confidentiality. You have the right to share the content of your therapy sessions with others, and can formally request in writing for your therapist to share information with someone such as a physician. Confidentiality does not apply to situations where there is a risk of harm or death for the client or others. The appropriate official will always be contacted for the safety of all involved.
